A New Beginnings - and a Newfound Dimension of Trust

I've joined Arcserve as Director of Sales Enablement.

Arcserve is redefining the standard in data protection, business continuity, and ransomware protection, making this a natural next step in my ongoing mission to advocate for digital trust, identity, and security — core values that have defined my career across industry giants like VeriSign and Symantec, and most recently at DigiCert.

For those familiar with my journey, this transition is more than just a new title. It's a deeper dive into a subject that I’ve always been passionate about — an organization's opportunity to maintain and express their own trustworthiness (I call it "Telling Your Trust Story"), and resilience is a foundational element of it. Arcserve’s focus on data resilience aligns perfectly with my long-standing belief that trust is not just about prevention but also about a company’s ability to recover and thrive after an attack or disaster. After all, how much stronger is an organization's trust story when they can demonstrate their ability to bounce back?

  • Reflecting on My Cybersecurity Journey

My previous role as Director of Sales Enablement provided a unique opportunity to focus on educating teams and customers about the importance of TLS, SSL, and digital certificates. I empowered teams to articulate the value of security solutions and built strong messaging around digital identity and trust. In prior incarnations of that same streak of employment, I honed my skills in the world of cybersecurity, engaging in thought leadership, developing strategies, and hosting webinars to communicate the critical nature of securing digital transactions and infrastructure. These experiences have shaped my belief that trust isn’t just about the technologies we use — it's about leadership, transparency, and the ability to withstand and recover from crises. At Arcserve, I’m excited to extend that conversation from cybersecurity into business resilience, helping organizations protect their data and continue to operate smoothly no matter what challenges they face.

  • Telling the Trust Story: The Role of Resilience

For years, I’ve been encouraging companies to focus on telling their trust story — to emphasize their commitment to security, transparency, and leadership in all aspects of their business. In today’s digital landscape, this trust story must evolve to include resilience. Companies that can protect, recover, and thrive after a cyberattack are the ones who will build the strongest reputations and long-lasting customer relationships. At Arcserve, resilience is at the heart of their value proposition. Their solutions offer ransomware protection, backup, and disaster recovery, all of which are key to maintaining a company’s digital trust. When a business can confidently recover from an attack, it’s more than just operational stability — it’s about showing the world that they’re leaders who can weather any storm.

  • Expanding the Conversation: From Cybersecurity to Data Resilience

My new role allows me to build on the foundations I’ve established over the last decade, but with an exciting new focus: data resilience. At VeriSign, my work centered on securing digital transactions through SSL and TLS. Symantec gave me the platform to help organizations differentiate themselves based on their security practices. I expanded that narrative over the past several years, enabling companies to navigate the complexities of digital certificates and secure communication. Now, with Arcserve, I’m taking that expertise and layering it with resilience.

It’s not enough for organizations to secure their digital presence.  They must also be able to recover quickly from attacks and demonstrate that ability to their customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Arcserve’s suite of solutions empowers businesses to do just that, helping them build trust not only through prevention but also through preparedness and response.

  • Aligning My Passions with Arcserve’s Mission

This role at Arcserve feels like the perfect fit for my ongoing mission: advocating for digital trust and security while emphasizing resilience as the ultimate marker of leadership. In today’s digital landscape, organizations need to secure their digital presence, but they also need to prove that they can protect and preserve their operations in the face of cyber threats.

What excites me most is that Arcserve’s solutions make this possible. By ensuring business continuity, Arcserve allows companies to demonstrate not only that they’re secure but also that they’re prepared for anything that comes their way. This resilience is critical for maintaining long-term trust in the eyes of customers and partners.

  • Looking Forward: Building Trust Through Resilience

As I embark on this new chapter at Arcserve, I’m excited to take on the challenge of building out Sales Enablement initiatives that highlight the critical role of resilience in the modern cybersecurity landscape. I’m equally excited about building future opportunities to support evangelism, specifically amplifying Arcserve’s message that data protection and recovery are foundational to digital trust

In the years to come, I believe that organizations that successfully tell their trust story will be the ones that thrive, and Arcserve will enable them to do so. It’s an exciting time to be part of a company that’s so aligned with my passion for resilience and digital security.

  • Final Thoughts: A Grateful Journey

From my days at VeriSign and Symantec, where I learned the importance of digital security, to DigiCert in its self-discovery over what digital trust could be, each step has prepared me for this new role at Arcserve. The focus now is broader — now adding resilience and business continuity — and I couldn’t be more excited to continue my journey at this intersection of cybersecurity, trust, and resilience.

Together with the talented team at Arcserve, I’m looking forward to shaping how organizations around the world think about and implement data resilience as a key part of their cybersecurity strategies.

Cheers to a future where resilience builds stronger digital trust for everyone.
